Millennial urbanites have increased expectations around the demand for products and services that cater to their lifestyle. They also spend more and more time watching Netflix and on social media. So, Ben & Jerry’s created a chatbot via Facebook Messenger for consumers to order home delivery of its ice-cream for their next Netflix binge. Users could log on, pick their favourite ice-cream pint, track their orders in real-time and interact with Ben & Jerry’s gurus while they wait for their curbside delivery. The team optimized media on a daily basis with ads across Facebook and Ben & Jerry’s was able to sell four times more pints during the campaign period.
