IKEA needed to communicate that its furniture does not only provide modern design, but also longevity. Research showed that that there was a massive “second hand IKEA economy” on Kijiji. So, working with Jungle Media, the brand inserted itself into the site’s search algorithm. When visitors searched for furniture on Kijiji, they were given curated brand suggestions from IKEA on a custom landing page. These branded pages displayed IKEA’s sustainability message along with calls-to-action, driving people to continue their shopping on IKEA.ca. The landing pages saw more than 1.5 million visits, with over 286,000 engagements.
