GoldNiche Marketing - Best in Niche Targeting

Even in today’s world of oversharing, people still don’t talk openly about how to clean up before and after sex. Toilet tissues leave bits of paper and baby wipes aren’t the most fitting for the moment. Cottonelle’s FreshCare Cleansing Cloths aim to offer a better cleaning solution for those “getting busy.” To introduce people to the product, the brand used classic sexting emojis: an eggplant and pussy cat. The animations were integrated into OOH and dating apps during Pride in Toronto. A popular resto in Toronto's Gay Village hosted digital touchscreens where people were encouraged to “work for it” to get a FreshCare sample. For example, playing with the kitten’s nose turned her eyes into hearts, and stroking the eggplant caused the green top to pop off. As people engaged with the boards, brand ambassadors spoke to benefits like its SafeFlush technology. The brand also sent Grindr users a touch-activated mobile ad that mimicked the OOH and offered coupons for the product.
