Grabbing a coffee on-the-go without getting out of the vehicle is not a luxury available to truckers whose rigs are far too big for drive-through windows. As a result, stopping for a quick cup contributes to lost time on the road. To help reduce this pain point of its customers, Fountain Tire created the “Truck-Thru,” a drive-up window made for truckers. To reach road warriors with the message, FCB Canada and Guru Media placed ads where truckers would see them – at rest stops, on the roof of passing cars, and dispatched on CB radio. The “Truck-Thru” made stops across Fountain Tire’s Western Canada stomping grounds. Aside from making the day of long-haul drivers, the stunt generated 55 new fleet leads and contributed to a $4.6 million increase in sales.
